The Lakes at Litchfield, a retirement community in Pawleys Island, S.C., recently made a generous donation to C.A.S.A. (Citizens Against Spousal Abuse). C.A.S.A. provides free and confidential information and help to victims of domestic violence.
The donation came from the sales of homemade greeting cards created with love by the residents of The Lakes at Litchfield. This group recycles greeting cards and then embellishes them with feathers, jewels, shells, fabric, etc. The cards are then sold to residents, guests and employees at the community. Greta Ferri formed this creative card group about 7 years ago and to date has raised over $13,000 for C.A.S.A., helping this organization "keep the lights on."
